Details for Participants - please come prepared

Parade of nations: students have to make a flag using a poster
board. Use a stake to hold it. If you don’t have a stake, we can provide one.
We will be having an Olympics style parade of nations.
2. Immigration: each visitor will get a Passport at the entry (USA immigration booth – being represented by PTA). We will give sticker sheets to each country’s booth to affix on visitor’s passports.
3. Embassy Row: For table setup, some ideas are – artifacts, stickers, books, decorative items, crafts to share with audience, food items.
4. Trifold Board as Centerpiece: All info can be gathered from our school’s free resource: CULTURE GRAMS. Note - See detailed directions below.
5. Presentation: to run throughout the event – Each country to prepare a 3 minute max PowerPoint presentation about the country. Take help of YouTube videos, images, or textual info about country. Combination of text, video and images is acceptable. We will combine all the countries PowerPoint and display it via projector on the screen throughout the event. You can even keep it running on a slideshow on your tables using your own personal laptop.
6. Clothing: You may wear traditional outfits.
7. Food: You may bring traditional food to share.
8. Entertainment – If you would like to perform a traditional dance/performance at the I-night, please let me know in advance to plan the event for timing purposes. We already have an Irish Dance, Vietnamese song, and world music on Piano scheduled.
IMPORTANT - If you need help with supplies - like trifold boards, stake for flag- you MUST let me know before January 6th (when school re-starts). We have limited funds available. First come first serve. We are there to help you- just inform me in time please.

Must include:

2. Capital of the country
3. Currency (optional -show conversion rate to USD)
4. Map of country (simple map from culture gram or any showing only major cities and outline).
5. Size (optional - compare to something familiar like other states in US)
6. Population
7. Country Flag or other emblems (national seal, anthem, bird, animal, or tree)
